The Congressional Country Club is seeking a highly skilled Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the cleanliness and organization of our clubhouse and adjacent areas. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring a high level of service and quality in all aspects of housekeeping.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and Coordinate Housekeeping Activities: Oversee the work activities of the cleaning personnel, ensuring a clean, orderly, and attractive clubhouse and adjacent areas.
- Lead and Develop the Housekeeping Team: Create an environment where motivated people want to join, learn, and advance. Model best practices, empower your team, share knowledge, and coach to maximize team member productivity and satisfaction.
- Ensure Quality and Efficiency: Supervise day-to-day operations, quality control, continued training, coaching, and direction of the housekeeping team. Utilize leadership skills and motivation techniques to maximize team member productivity and satisfaction.
- Manage Inventory and Supplies: Maintain proper inventory of linen, amenities, chemicals, and cleaning equipment to meet or exceed budget goals.
- Respond to Member and Guest Requests: Respond promptly and courteously to member and guest requests and concerns.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or general education degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. 1-2 years of related employment experience, with working knowledge of housekeeping.
- Supervisory Skills: Supervisory skills are required.
- Communication and Organizational Skills: Effective communication skills with team members, management, and membership. Excellent organizational and team management skills.
- Physical Demands: Continuous movement and standing, with the ability to lift to 25 pounds and push or pull up to 35 pounds.
- Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of basic housekeeping safety standards. Ability to operate and train others in the use of floor maintenance and other housekeeping equipment. Ability to operate a two-way radio, cleaning equipment, and general office equipment, including a computer. Experience with Microsoft Suite. Bilingual preferred.
