EHS Coordinator

AST SpaceMobile is seeking a highly skilled EHS Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our safety team, you will be responsible for leading and implementing all AST Space Mobile Safety Program areas, promoting a safe culture, and maintaining a safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver accurate daily, weekly, and monthly safety metrics to report to onsite management teams and AST-based reporting safety systems.
- Conduct risk assessments related to jobs performed (Job Hazard Analysis) and new equipment on site.
- Develop and implement safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state laws.
- Collaborate with management teams to ensure compliance with all Safety Programs, Training, inspections, and internal and external audits.
- Conduct environmental compliance site audits of hazardous waste program facilities and solid waste facilities, as assigned.
- Available to work flexible shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
- A minimum of 2-3 years in an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) related field or a bachelor's degree in EHS-relevant background.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910.
- Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional capacity.
- Strong communication, teamwork, analysis, judgment, and customer-focus skills.
- Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in a safety-related field.
- Experience leading and managing a team, analyzing accident data, and conducting job hazard and job safety analyses.
- Experience in emergency response and currently holds First Aid and CPR certificates.
- Experience in workers' compensation case management.
