Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our growing organization at Marinosci Law Group, P.C.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year

About the Position:

  • Manage the entire accounts payable process from start to finish
  • Work closely with vendors to resolve any issues or discrepancies
  • Coordinate with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely payments
  • Develop and implement processes to improve efficiency and reduce errors

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including coding invoices, matching purchase orders, and obtaining approval
  2. Verify vendor accounts and reconcile monthly statements to ensure accuracy and validity
  3. Process employee expense reports, including verification of receipts and coding
  4. Prepare batch check runs, wire transfers, and ACH transactions to facilitate timely payments
  5. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding accounts payable
  6. Collaborate with the accounting team to develop and implement processes to improve efficiency and reduce errors
  7. Assist with fiscal month and year-end activities, including preparing and filing 1099's
  8. Assist team with gathering support for all audits, including pulling documentation

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2+ years of accounts payable experience
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting and management principles and accounts payable procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and management
  • Motivation to develop and maintain internal and external relationships
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience with QuickBooks
  • Solid communication, computer, technology, organizational, and analytical skills
