Electrical Superintendent

Mid-State Machine seeks an experienced Electrical Superintendent to oversee the installation of large-scale electrical systems. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as significant prior experience organizing and administering multiple crews.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and mitigate safety risks to ensure a safe working environment.
- Manage material procurement and requisition needs to maintain project timelines.
- Establish workflows and sequences to ensure projects remain on track.
- Assemble and install electrical equipment, including termination of wires and cable.
- Test electrical components for continuity and proper voltage readings.
- Inspect electrical equipment and components to identify hazards and ensure operational condition.
- Setup and maintain temporary power systems and grounding systems for all equipment and structures.
- Hoist equipment and tools into location via bull rigging or crane.
- Work at heights exceeding 300 ft and perform skilled labor for up to 12 hours a day.
- Read blueprints and schematics to inform installation and modification decisions.
- Install and modify cable tray using hand tools and power tools.
- Bend and cut conduit using hand saws, hand tube bending equipment, and power and hydraulic cutting and tube bending devices.
- Use recognized cable pulling methods to run cable through specified pathways.
- Troubleshoot equipment and systems for electrical malfunctions.
Requirements:
- Licensed Journeyman Electrician
- National Center for Construction Education and Research's (NCCER) certification for Industrial Journeyman Electrician.
- 5+ years' experience as an Electrical Supervisor.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent standing, sitting, walking, and use of hands and fingers to handle tools and review equipment.
Occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling to inspect and oversee work in confined or low-access areas.
Good vision to review blueprints and inspect work quality.
Ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 50 pounds.
Exposure to various work environments, including construction sites, with noise, dust, and outdoor elements.
