Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and supervise maintenance, inspections, and safety evaluations of all physical plant infrastructure.
  • Manage procurement processes for supplies, equipment, and services.
  • Coordinate special projects and maintenance tasks as directed by senior management.
  • Analyze equipment failures and implement corrective measures while training staff and inmate work crews.
  • Oversee fleet services in collaboration with relevant state departments.
  • Engage with contractors to ensure service quality and compliance.
  • Facilitate the maintenance of telecommunications and security systems.
  • Assist in budget preparation and special project planning.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to construction and safety.
  • Understanding of administrative principles and management practices.
  • Proficiency in interpreting blueprints and technical specifications.
  • Competence in basic software applications for reporting and data analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, along with supervisory experience in managing large-scale facility operations, is preferred.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Successful candidates must pass a background check, drug screening, and medical examination. Compliance with annual health assessments is mandatory.
