We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in St. Paul, MN.

Salary and Benefits

Job Description

As a Special Education Teacher, you will develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), provide instructional support, and collaborate with other educators to foster an inclusive classroom environment where all students can thrive.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to the individual needs of students with disabilities
  • Provide one-on-one and small group instruction to students based on their specific IEP goals
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and parents to ensure students' success
  • Participate in IEP meetings to establish goals and monitor student progress
  • Implement positive behavior management techniques to support students with emotional and behavioral needs
  • Track and report on student progress, modifying educational strategies as necessary
  • Foster an inclusive classroom environment that promotes academic and social growth
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Special Education (Master's Degree preferred)
  • Current Minnesota State Special Education Teaching License
  • Experience working with students with disabilities, including learning disabilities, autism, and emotional/behavioral disorders
  • Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and administrators
  • Passion for helping students succeed academically and socially
  • Experience working with K-12 students in diverse educational settings
