Sovereign Consulting Inc. is a reputable environmental consulting and remediation firm headquartered in NJ, seeking a full-time Mid-Level Environmental / Civil Engineer or Geologist to join our team in Holyoke, MA.

Salary Range

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support site investigations involving environmental drilling, well installation, and soil sampling
  • Contribute to environmental remediation design tasks, including soil and groundwater remediation design
  • Provide construction, excavation, and dredging quality control and/or health and safety oversight
  • Complete Operations & Maintenance activities for remedial systems as needed
  • Assist with technical report preparation of Massachusetts Contingency Plan and ASTM documents, including data input and interpretation

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of related experience is required
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in civil or environmental or geology engineering is necessary
  • Desire to obtain PE or PG certification is a plus
  • OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification is mandatory
  • OSHA 30-hr Construction or General Industry certification is desirable
  • USACE Contractor Quality Control Training or ability to be trained is preferred
  • Demonstrated technical writing skills are essential
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office, Adobe, MassGIS, and CAD is a plus
  • Excellent communication, analytical, field sampling skills are required
