JOB OVERVIEW

The Fiberglass Fabrication Technician plays a crucial role within our skilled manufacturing team, responsible for constructing fiberglass tanks and related components.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Operate necessary machinery and tools for production tasks.
  • Ensure the workspace and equipment are maintained in a tidy and organized manner.
  • Execute assigned tasks according to production schedules with minimal oversight.
  • Adhere to safe working practices.
  • Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Follow all company policies, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Abide by health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
  • Comply with quality assurance policies and procedures.
  • Cut fiberglass materials to specified dimensions.
  • Assist in the assembly and construction of final products.
  • Support the fabrication, preparation, and installation of fittings and other components.
  • Repair product imperfections as identified by designated personnel.
  • Conduct visual inspections, measurements, and process checks, reporting any quality issues.
  • Collaborate with colleagues during the internal lay-up of tanks.
  • Mix resin and catalyst to ensure optimal curing of laminates.
  • Saturate fiberglass mats and woven roving.
  • Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to maintain efficiency.
  • Assist in applying rib forms and creating rib channels.
  • Roll out shells, end caps, panels, and accessories.
  • Utilize various equipment, power tools, assembly jigs, and material handling devices.
  • Engage in safety and housekeeping initiatives as established within the facility.
  • Carry out other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
