Job Summary

The Production Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the efficient production, storage, and shipment of polyurethane chemicals and raw materials. Key duties include operating a forklift to move drums, loading and unloading semi-trailers, and preparing drums for shipment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of shipping and receiving experience, as well as excellent time management and organizational skills.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Drive a forklift to pull and put away drums on pallets.
  • Load and unload semi-trailers and customer's truck/trailer.
  • Physically roll 55-gallon drums and/or use a pallet jack to move pallets around the warehouse.
  • Prepare and band 55-gallon drums of material to a pallet for shipment.
  • Responsible for keeping the warehouse clean and tidy.
  • Other general warehouse/production duties.

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older with a valid driver's license.
  • Pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years shipping and receiving experience.
  • Inventory experience.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of 50+ pounds, etc.).
  • Ability to use good judgment and problem-solving skills while striving to work safely at all times.
