Position Overview
The Security Associate plays a crucial role in supporting security and loss prevention initiatives within the Distribution Center, aligning with division goals.
Key Responsibilities
Accountable for loss prevention and shortage control strategies, actively identifying various forms of loss, encouraging involvement in shortage control, and assisting in the development of solutions.
Ensure a safe and secure environment for all employees and visitors, including the facility, drivers, and sales representatives.
Safeguard the company’s warehouse, offices, and assets against theft, vandalism, fire, and unauthorized access.Employing various methods, the Security Associate monitors and aids in tracking product shortages.
Investigate reports of known or suspected internal theft, violence, or other criminal activities involving associates.
Provide oversight and support in managing third-party security services.Conduct compliance audits related to company shrinkage within the distribution center and facilitate improvements in shrink results.
Establish and maintain rapport with relevant agencies as needed, coordinating investigations with internal or external entities.
Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent plus one year of relevant experience.
Physical Requirements
Physical demands include significant time spent sitting and typing on a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine.
Additional hours may be necessary during peak periods.
May require working at heights of 8 feet or more.
Must be capable of frequently lifting, lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 56 lbs.
This position is classified as safety-sensitive.
Consequently, any individual receiving a conditional offer of employment will be required to pass a drug test, including a marijuana test.
