About the Role:



We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Manager to join our team at Navigator Recruiting. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills and experience in managing multiple clients, preparing and reviewing tax returns, and providing exceptional client service.



Responsibilities:




  • Manage a substantial client list with various business and individual returns, ensuring timely completion of tax returns and compliance filing requirements
  • Review and interpret financial records to determine any adjustments needed for tax returns and compliance filings
  • Direct and timely communication with clients to obtain additional information regarding tax planning and compliance issues
  • Successful research of tax laws and compliance on complicated issues relative to tax planning for clients
  • Preparation and review of tax returns in a timely and efficient manner
  • Supervision, development, and mentoring of fellow staff to assist with client needs and professional growth
  • Promotion of the firm through occasional business-building activities


Requirements:




  • CPA license required
  • 8-10 years of experience in the preparation and review of income tax returns for individuals, fiduciary, non-profit organizations, and small businesses
  • Ability to acquire, develop, and retain clients
  • Resourcefulness and willingness to learn
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
  • Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects
  • Ability to exercise good judgment, be a team player, and be proactive
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for service
  • Ability to meet deadlines and handle stressful situations professionally and effectively
  • Ability to adhere to security procedures in handling confidential and sensitive information at all times
  • Ability to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, during tax season and other deadline periods as needed


Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 + Benefits
