About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aquatics Coordinator to join our team at the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati. As a key member of our aquatics team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our aquatic programs, ensuring the safety and well-being of our members and participants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Management: Oversee the scheduling and coordination of aquatic programs, including swim lessons, water aerobics, and other activities.
  • Staff Supervision: Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate aquatic staff, ensuring they have the necessary certifications and skills to provide excellent service to our members.
  • Facility Maintenance: Ensure the aquatic facility is clean, safe, and well-maintained, meeting all YMCA standards and regulations.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to our members, responding to inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Compliance: Ensure all aquatic staff are certified in CPR, First Aid, and other required certifications, and that all YMCA policies and procedures are followed.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in aquatic program management, staff supervision, or a related field.
  • Certifications: Current YMCA lifeguarding or American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification required; Swim Instructor certification preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
