Infection Preventionist

PruittHealth is seeking a highly skilled Infection Preventionist - Registered Nurse to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective infection prevention and control program in our healthcare center.

• Conduct ongoing surveillance of healthcare-associated infections and analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and implement infection prevention and control policies and procedures, and provide education and training to staff.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to identify and manage infectious disease outbreaks.
• Assess the immunization status of residents and partners, and administer vaccines as needed.
• Provide expert knowledge and guidance on infection prevention and control practices, and participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or professional training in medical technology, microbiology, or epidemiology.
• Minimum of three years of clinical experience in an acute care or long-term care setting or disease surveillance in public health.
• Current, unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Completion of specialized training in Infection Prevention and Control within three months of employment.
