Overview

Location: Rockton Ave PT/OT Therapy Department Flexible Full time Hourly

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced or eager to learn Occupational Therapist to join our Outpatient Clinic team. As a key member of our team, you will provide occupational therapy in the outpatient setting, working with patients to achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate subjective and objective data to establish a treatment plan.
  • Utilize exercise, physical agents, and manual techniques to address deficits.
  • Maintain a thorough record of services provided with appropriate coding and billing.
  • Communicate with other disciplines and referring providers to enhance outcomes.
  • Perform thorough and timely electronic documentation.
  • Participate actively in the PI and CQI process.
  • Assist in the orientation, training, and mentoring of new team members.
  • Participate in cost-saving initiatives within the department.
  • Maintain a high standard of patient care and provide effective communication between occupational therapists, assistants, and the physician group.
  • Plan and conduct lectures and training programs on occupational therapy and related topics for medical staff, students, and community groups.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy.
  • Licensed as an occupational therapist in WI, IL, or both if required.
  • CPR/BLS required within 30 days of hire.
  • NBCOT.

Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.

Occupational Exposure: Category A - All team members in the specified job classification have occupational exposure.

Age of Patients Served

Neonate (birth - 28 days)

Infant (29 days - less than 1 year)

Pediatric (1 year - 12 years)

Adolescents (13 years - 17 years)

Adult (18 years - 64 years)

Geriatric (65 years and older)

Team members may access patient care information needed to perform their job duties.
