Certification Requirements

Job Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the ICU setting, focusing on those with neuro, cardiac, and ventilator needs.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Administer medications and treatments as per established nursing protocols and standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in line with healthcare regulations.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in conjunction with physicians and hospital policies, including patient and family education.
  • Engage in performance improvement initiatives within the department.
  • Provide clinical expertise and support to other units as needed.
  • Exercise critical thinking to enhance patient safety and experience, escalating concerns appropriately.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as an ICU Nurse, particularly in neuro, cardiac, and ventilator management.
  • Possession of current Illinois nursing credentials, along with CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
Work Schedule
  • Flexibility to float to Step-Down ICU as required.
  • Availability for every other weekend and holiday shifts.
  • 12-hour night shifts (7 PM - 7 AM).
