JOB STATUS:

LOCATION:
Jackson County - Jackson, MN

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Safely transport passengers according to the daily itinerary and assigned routes.
  • Make informed and prompt decisions based on road conditions and operational requirements.
  • Efficiently manage scheduled trips based on time and location.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to establish routes and organize special events.
  • Operate the vehicle in compliance with safety protocols and company policies.
  • Adhere to MnDOT, Agency, and Program regulations.
  • Conduct thorough pre and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
  • Foster positive public relations and enhance program visibility.
  • Communicate policies and procedures to passengers and manage fare collection as instructed.
  • Engage with passengers in a courteous and professional manner, addressing situations tactfully.
  • Exemplify and promote United's Behavioral Competencies.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Valid Class C or higher commercial driver's license (CDL) with passenger endorsement.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience.

KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS:

  • Familiarity with traffic laws and regulations.
  • Ability to interact in a respectful and professional manner.
  • Proven written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient in using two-way radios and tablets for communication.
  • Capability to safely operate and maintain passenger vehicles and wheelchair lifts under various conditions.
  • Competence in reading maps and navigating routes.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Dependable and consistent attendance.
  • Must successfully complete DOT physical and drug/alcohol testing requirements.
  • Background check must be satisfactorily completed.
