Art Practices Monitor

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized student assistant to support the Art Practices department at the University of New Mexico. The successful candidate will work closely with the department coordinator to ensure the smooth operation of the art studios and classrooms.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the maintenance and organization of art studios and classrooms, including the setup and teardown of equipment and supplies.
- Provide technical assistance to students, including guidance on the use of art equipment and software.
- Monitor and maintain the safety and security of the art studios and classrooms.
- Perform tasks such as cleaning, inventory management, and equipment maintenance as needed.
- Assist with special projects and events as assigned by the department coordinator.
- Current enrollment as a student at the University of New Mexico.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of art practices and techniques.
- Availability to work a minimum of 10 hours per week.
- Experience working in an art studio or classroom environment.
- Knowledge of art software and equipment.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies.
