Trailer Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Trailer Mechanic to join our team at Transportation Equipment Network. As a Trailer Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on trailers, including air brake maintenance, suspension work, and electrical system troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trailers, including air brake maintenance, suspension work, and electrical system troubleshooting.
• Diagnose and repair issues with trailer axles, wheels, and brakes.
• Perform minor body repairs and maintenance, including replacing body side panels and posts.
• Assist in the installation and repair of trailer electrical systems, including lights and 7-way receptacles.
• Operate and maintain shop equipment and tools, including welding equipment.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of experience in trailer maintenance and repair.
• Knowledge of air brake systems, suspension systems, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment and tools.
