JOB SUMMARY:


The Avionics Systems Specialist is responsible for conducting functional testing, diagnosing issues, and repairing avionics systems on aircraft at a Textron Aviation Service Center.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


- Execute functional testing to identify customer-reported issues within specific avionics systems and repair those systems in compliance with FAA regulations.

- Utilize in-flight analysis and customer feedback to diagnose problems and implement corrective measures.

- Troubleshoot issues to identify defective components or wiring faults.

- Replace faulty components, repair wiring, and modify aircraft systems as necessary.

- As needed, accompany pilots during flights to conduct functional tests on repaired or aligned systems.

- Work from aircraft orders, wiring schematics, and both verbal and written instructions to fulfill job responsibilities.


EDUCATION:
High School diploma or equivalent is required; additional education from college, technical school, or military electronic training is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in troubleshooting and repairing aircraft avionics systems.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to obtain and maintain an airport security badge through the local airport authority, if applicable.
- Airframe and Power Plant Certification is preferred.
