Diesel Truck Mechanic Job Description

PepsiCo is seeking a skilled Diesel Truck Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Truck Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic and repair work on heavy-duty diesel trucks, including scheduled preventative maintenance and necessary repairs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and other systems
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations
  • Work with a high degree of independence to diagnose and repair issues
  • Collaborate with other technicians to complete complex repairs
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and vehicle maintenance
Requirements:
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Permit or Class A CDL
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working with diesel engines and heavy-duty trucks
  • ASE or manufacturer certifications
  • Formal schooling in a technical field
