Job Summary

As a Surgical Technologist at Monument Health, you will be an integral part of the surgical team, providing essential support to ensure the success of surgical procedures. Your role will involve preparing the operating room, handling instruments and supplies, and maintaining a sterile environment. You will work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare the operating room, including setting up equipment and supplies
  • Handle instruments, supplies, and equipment during surgical procedures
  • Maintain a sterile environment and ensure proper infection control
  • Assist surgeons and other healthcare professionals during procedures
  • Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the surgical team
  • Participate in pre- and post-operative patient care
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a surgical technology program or equivalent experience
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (ST-C) or equivalent
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
