We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Rogerson Communities. As a key member of our Adult Day Program, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our participants.
Responsibilities- Evaluate prospective participants for admission to the program and assist in obtaining and reviewing their medical information.
- Assume responsibility for the admission of new participants, including physical assessments, documentation, and implementation of care plans.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing components of care plans for each participant.
- Generate comprehensive MD orders for each participant and maintain accurate medication records.
- Provide direct medical care, including assessment, counseling, and coordination of care with other providers.
- Supervise PA's and assist participants with Activities of Daily Living, including toileting, incontinence care, and ambulation.
- Participate in health groups and work with the Kitchen Coordinator to ensure meal plans meet dietary requirements.
- Assume responsibility for documentation and requirements related to nursing, including Mass Health and SCO authorizations.
- Collaborate with other disciplines to provide training and orientation for staff.
- Supervise nursing and medical students and review time sheets for approval.
- Registered Nurse, licensed in Massachusetts.
- Minimum of two years' experience working with elders and adults with physical or cognitive impairments.
- Sensitive to the needs of elders of all socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Ability to work cooperatively as a multidisciplinary team leader.
- Some supervisory experience with other nurses and direct care staff preferred.
