Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Millwright to join our team at West Fraser. As a Millwright, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining industrial equipment, including conveying systems, machine centers, and other machinery.
Key Responsibilities- Repair and maintain industrial equipment, including conveying systems, machine centers, and other machinery
- Read and understand drawings and printed instructions
- Work safely under high pressure situations
- Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs
- Assemble and install equipment using hand tools and power tools
- Lay out mounting holes using measuring instruments and drill holes with power drill
- Replace defective parts of machines or adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts
- Level bedplate and establish centerline using straightedge, levels, and transit
- Dismantle machines using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum two years verifiable work experience as a Millwright
- Welding experience (GMAW and/or SMAW)
- Cutting Torch experience (Oxygen/Acetylene)
- Ability to work night/day shift
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, physical, reference check, and background check
