Job Overview

Kimbel Mechanical Systems is seeking a skilled Sourcing Manager to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing materials, controlling costs, and ensuring timely deliveries. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills and experience in warehouse material purchasing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source materials, ensuring the right quantity, cost, and delivery time.
  • Collaborate with the Warehouse team, Project Management, Suppliers, and Field Staff to ensure timely material delivery.
  • Work with Estimating & PM teams to specify project-specific materials.
  • Control material costs and manage overages/shortages.
  • Engage with suppliers to anticipate material issues and negotiate pricing and availability.

Requirements:

  • Warehouse material purchasing experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, professionalism, and computer competency (MS Office, Excel, email, etc.).
  • Ability to learn new computer skills.
  • Friendly demeanor, ability to make common sense decisions, and work independently.
  • Customer service orientation and willingness to serve others.
