Role Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologist who will play a crucial role in executing a range of diagnostic imaging procedures utilizing radioactive substances. Your skills will be vital in enhancing patient care and contributing to the field of medical diagnostics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients, adhering to established safety protocols.
- Utilize advanced imaging technology, including gamma cameras and PET scanners, to produce detailed images of internal anatomy.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare providers to establish appropriate imaging techniques based on patient assessments.
- Ensure patient comfort and proper positioning during imaging procedures to achieve optimal results.
- Monitor patients throughout the imaging process to manage any discomfort or adverse reactions effectively.
- Evaluate images for quality and accuracy, preparing them for analysis by radiologists or physicians.
- Maintain comprehensive patient records and documentation, complying with regulatory standards.
- Handle radioactive materials responsibly, following all safety guidelines for disposal and management.
- Conduct routine maintenance and quality control on imaging equipment, addressing any technical issues as they arise.

Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related discipline.
- Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) is mandatory.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred.
- Familiarity with radiopharmaceuticals, radiation safety protocols, and imaging techniques.
- Skilled in operating imaging devices such as gamma cameras, SPECT, and PET scanners.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical capabilities for precise image evaluation.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with patients and healthcare teams.
- Able to prioritize tasks and adapt to dynamic situations while maintaining professionalism.
- Commitment to upholding patient care standards, safety, and confidentiality.
