Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Environmental Sustainability Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, conducting routine sampling and inspections, and maintaining accurate records. This is a critical role that requires strong communication and technical writing skills, as well as the ability to stay up-to-date with changing environmental regulations.
Responsibilities- Conduct routine environmental sampling and inspections to ensure compliance with regulations
- Prepare and submit compliance reports on a monthly basis
- Ensure all environmental permits and certificates are renewed in a timely manner
- Primary contact with regulatory agencies and accompany representatives during site inspections
- Stay educated on environmental regulatory changes and communicate them to management
- Provide training for the environmental program and coordinate with the environmental management team
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field
- At least 5 years of experience in a regulatory or enforcement setting
- Knowledge of CAA, CWA, Title V, and RCRA regulations
- Knowledge of MACT, NSPS, NPDES, and RCRA regulations affecting the cement industry
- Familiarity with cement manufacturing is preferred
- Strong communication and technical writing skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
