Job Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our facilities, ensuring that all equipment is in good working order and that safety procedures are followed. This role will also be responsible for managing the facilities maintenance team and coordinating with vendors and contractors as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair: Secure and coordinate related services with staff, vendors, or outside organizations, including but not limited to, housekeeping, heating-ventilation-air conditioning, structural and cosmetic repairs, compressed air, electricity, water, sprinkler systems, fire alarms, security, snow and ice removal, trees, lawns, shrubbery, trash removal, power equipment, chargers, and maintenance of all building safety features.
  • Team Management: Lead the facilities maintenance team, including coaching and developing direct reports, conducting performance reviews, and managing team time off and attendance.
  • Inventory and Budgeting: Assist with inventory/asset management and the overall budgeting process, including tracking and logging all repairs and services.
  • Safety and Compliance: Take an active role in company-wide OSHA/EPA safety efforts, including maintaining records of department activities, purchases, and policies and procedures, and following strict Lockout/Tagout procedures when servicing equipment.
  • Communication and Liaison: Liaison to local municipalities and fire safety representatives, and schedule periodic preventative maintenance on all applicable facility-related equipment.
  • Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Perform electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting and repairs in response to equipment errors or failures, and maintain records of department activities, purchases, and policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in manufacturing field or business a plus. 3-5 years' industrial facilities maintenance experience, EPA Universal certificate required, and 2+ years' proven supervisory experience in a manufacturing capacity.
  • Skills and Abilities: Fundamental English reading and writing skills, ability to work 8-hours consecutively, ability to work overtime when needed, ability to maintain an active physical presence on the production floor, and ability to lift, carry and push/pull up to 50 pounds.
