Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ground Service Equipment Mechanic to join our team at GAT Airline Ground Support. As a GSE Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing repairs, preventative maintenance, and diagnostics tests on our company's vehicles and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine checks and maintenance on company vehicles and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Complete repairs on large equipment, including vehicles, aircraft, and ground support equipment.
  • Cleanliness and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to corporate and OSHA standards.
  • Safety Checks: Conduct regular safety checks on vehicles and equipment to ensure they are in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other job duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Work Environment

The normal setting for this job is inside and outside, with occasional exposure to extreme weather conditions.

Requirements
  • Knowledge and Skills: Possess knowledge of basic maintenance and repair techniques, as well as mechanical or trade school certification.
  • Tools and Equipment: Familiarity with all tools required to perform repairs and maintenance on equipment.
  • Computer Skills: Possess basic computer skills as required.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Age: 18 years old.
  • Certifications: Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
Special Considerations
  • Physical Demands: Required to exert physical effort in handling objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Work Environment: Shop environment including machines, tools, heavy equipment, chemicals, solvents, strong odors, dust, and fumes.
