Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrophysiology Lab Technologist to join our team at St. David's South Austin Medical Center. As an EP Lab Technologist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the diagnosis and treatment of patients experiencing cardiac procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Provide a safe patient care environment that aids in the diagnosis and treatment of patients experiencing cardiac procedures.
  • Maintain and operate the physiological systems, assist physicians during procedures, and perform unit-based activities that contribute to a positive and professional work environment.
  • Assume responsibility for care of designated patients while on duty.
  • Contribute to facilitate schedule flow in the EP Lab by assisting other staff to complete duties other than those designated.
  • Perform specified and general exams for diagnostic interpretation.
  • Demonstrate knowledge in the maintenance and use of the crash cart and be familiar with the location of drugs, supplies, and equipment on the cart.
Requirements
  • Two years of experience in Radiology, EP Lab, Cardiac Cath Lab, or Special Procedures.
  • Graduate of Cardiovascular Technologist program or Radiologic Technology program.
  • Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), or Certified through Texas Medical Board and registered with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) if Radiologic Technologist.
  • BLS Certification as per St. David's Healthcare policy.
  • ACLS Certification as per St. David's Healthcare policy.
