Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Lead - Orthopedic Clinic

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to lead our Orthopedic Clinic team. As a RN Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day provision of patient care, including staffing, workflow, equipment, and supplies. You will also assist the supervisor in evaluating and adjusting care and services provided by clinical and clinical support staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the day-to-day provision of patient care, including staffing, workflow, equipment, and supplies.
  • Assist the supervisor in evaluating and adjusting care and services provided by clinical and clinical support staff.
  • Act as an expert clinical and department resource.
  • May provide work direction to other staff and/or assist with patient care flow and the provision of services.
  • Work to promote and implement care management and quality initiatives.
  • Assist in establishing quality standards for the department.
  • Monitor and evaluate care delivery provided and take action to correct problems appropriately.
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 6 months.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Typically requires 5 years of experience in nursing that includes experiences in precepting, and acting as a nursing resource.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively make critical, independent decisions.
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills including delegation, organization, prioritization, and building team rapport.
Working Conditions:

The RN Lead will work in a fast-paced clinical environment and will be required to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, crawl, kneel, climb, and reach above shoulders throughout the workday. The RN Lead will also be required to wear protective clothing and equipment as needed.
