Job Description

Ryder is seeking a skilled Class A CDL Truck Driver to join our team in Sumner, WA. As a Home Daily Driver, you will be responsible for delivering goods to customers within a 75-mile radius of ports, operating a Day Cab tractor with Containers and Dry Van trailers, and adhering to strict safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines.
  • Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs.
  • Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading freight if required by customer.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
  • Pass a Ryder Background and Motor Vehicle check, including Drug and Alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
  • Pass a DOT physical.
  • Pass a Ryder road test.
  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
  • Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle.
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures.
