Job Summary

Genesis Health System is seeking a skilled Respiratory Care Specialist to join our team in the Cardio-Pulmonary department. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing diagnostic and therapeutic care to critical and non-critical pulmonary patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care services to patients, including oxygen therapy, ventilation, and aerosol therapy.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests, such as pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis.
  • Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or related field.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
  • Preferred: Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
  • Less than 1 year of experience in respiratory care.
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a fast-paced healthcare environment with minimal exposure to adverse environmental conditions. The employee may experience some undesirable or unpleasant environmental characteristics, but the physical environment is generally safe, and there is minimal health risk.
