The Sanitation Technician will be responsible for operating within safety and quality standards, adhering to good manufacturing practices (GMP's) and job specifications, policies, and procedures. The role requires the ability to read, comprehend, and document job standards, meeting quality standards and specifications for sanitation. The Sanitation Technician will also be responsible for monitoring the C.I.P. operation to ensure that cleaning was completed to specifications and documented. Effective communication with management is essential in regard to equipment issues, food safety issues, quality issues, safety issues, and sanitation not meeting requirements. The Sanitation Technician will assist in inventory management of chemicals, cleaning supplies, and parts required. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years of previous sanitation experience, preferably in the food and beverage industry. The successful candidate will be required to fully comply with Quality Management System Policies and Procedures and Food Safety Management requirements. The Sanitation Technician must be able to work overtime as needed and effectively communicate, read, write, and comprehend instructions and procedures in English. The role requires the ability to prioritize workload and accommodate shift in daily priorities based on the needs of the business. The Sanitation Technician must be able to demonstrate a high attention to detail, a high sense of urgency, and be proactive in addressing problems as they arise. The role requires the ability to calculate and understand basic math and simple formulas, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and averages. The Sanitation Technician must be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, cultivating a culture of trust, accountability, collaboration, and teamwork. The role requires the ability to perform physical requirements of the job, including prolonged physical exertions, repetitive motions, and lifting up to 60 lbs. The Sanitation Technician must be able to work in various conditions with exposure to extreme heat, wet, cold, dust, and fumes.
