Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join our team at the University of Virginia Medical Center. As a CRNA, you will play a critical role in providing anesthesia care to patients in a variety of settings, including the main OR, outpatient surgical services, obstetrics, pediatrics, and off-site locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care in collaboration with attending anesthesiologists
  • Participate in pre-anesthetic preparation and evaluation
  • Formulate a patient-specific plan for anesthesia care in collaboration with attending anesthesiologist
  • Implement monitors and adjust patient's physiologic condition as appropriate for type of anesthesia and specific patient's needs
  • Transfer the responsibility for care of the patient to other qualified providers post-operatively to assure continuity of care and patient safety
Requirements
  • Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited nursing program or eligible to practice as a CRNA in the Commonwealth of Virginia
  • Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia
  • Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist in the Commonwealth of Virginia
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification
