Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Avionics Technician to join our team at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical expertise in testing aircraft systems, troubleshooting and repairing system discrepancies to ensure minimum schedule impact.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in avionics and aircraft systems, with experience in installation and functional testing of electrical/avionics components and systems on aircraft. They will also have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform technical tasks related to avionics and aircraft systems, including testing, troubleshooting and repairing system discrepancies.
  2. Install and functionally test electrical/avionics components and systems on aircraft, ensuring a defect-free system.
  3. Ensure quality and efficiency of all installations, troubleshooting processes and concepts to provide timely, quality repairs of malfunctioning systems.
  4. Perform and comply with engineering changes and modifications as required.
  5. Set up and operate necessary test equipment, conducting functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability.
  6. Ensure that all work performed on the aircraft is properly and completely documented and ready for inspection.
  7. Test and maintain test equipment, electronic systems, and components.
  8. Comply with the company FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program and all safety regulations.
  9. Adapt to sudden schedule changes.
Requirements
  1. Preferred proficiency in the operation and troubleshooting of other aircraft systems or disciplines other than avionics, such as hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls, environmental controls or structural installations and repairs.
  2. Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.
  3. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
  4. Ability to climb stairs and ladders, work in confined areas and lift up to 50 pounds.
