Job OverviewWe are seeking highly skilled and motivated Professional Engineers specializing in Structural or Mechanical Forensics to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in investigating and analyzing structural failures, construction defects, accidents, and catastrophic losses caused by extreme weather events.
Responsibilities- Conduct detailed forensic investigations of structural failures, collapses, and construction defects
- Perform site inspections and gather relevant data to support forensic analysis
- Utilize engineering principles and practices to analyze and assess structural issues
- Prepare clear and concise technical reports outlining findings and conclusions that can stand up in a court of law
- Provide expert testimony in legal proceedings when required
- Stay current with industry trends, codes, and standards related to structural engineering
- Must be a licensed P.E. (or eligible by reciprocity) in the assigned state with an active NCEES record
- 2+ years' of forensic engineering experience is strongly preferred, however we will consider highly qualified P.E.s with a desire to learn forensics
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, including working outside and sometimes in extreme weather conditions
- The ability to travel locally, regionally, and nationally as needed is a must, and sometimes on short notice
