Job Summary:

Methodist North Hospital is seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team in the Cath Lab department. As a Cardiovascular Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cath Lab, including coronary and peripheral angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements.
  • Operate and maintain complex medical equipment, including angiography machines and fluoroscopy units.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Provide exceptional patient care and education, including explaining procedures and results to patients and families.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience as a Cardiovascular Technologist or related field.
  • Current certification in Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
