Job Responsibilities

As a Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney, your responsibilities will include:

  • Representing Clients in Litigation
    • Representing clients in all stages of litigation, including pre-litigation dispute resolution, discovery, motion practice, trials, and appeals.
  • Drafting Legal Documents
    • Drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, legal memoranda, and trial materials.
  • Attending Court Proceedings
    • Attending depositions, court hearings, and other proceedings as required.
  • Conducting Legal Research
    • Conducting legal research and analysis to develop effective litigation strategies.
  • Collaborating with Colleagues
    • Collaborating with partners and senior attorneys to manage case workflow.
  • Communicating with Clients
    • Communicating effectively with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and team members.
  • Maintaining Professional Standards
    • Maintaining the highest standards of professional conduct and ethics.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor Degree
    • A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • Bar Admission
    • Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
  • Commercial Litigation Experience
    • 2-3 years of commercial litigation experience in a law firm setting.
  • Deposition Experience
    • Experience in attending and conducting depositions.
  • Litigation Skills
    • Proven ability to manage complex litigation matters from inception through trial or other resolution.
  • Communication Skills
    • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Analytical Skills
    • Strong analytical, research, and negotiation skills.
