Admissions Representative

Azusa Pacific University is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused individual to serve as an Admissions Representative. As a representative of the university, you will play a crucial role in assisting prospective students through the inquiry, application, and enrollment process.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service to prospective students via phone, email, text, and mail correspondence.
- Meet identified enrollment goals, including inquiry to applicant, applicant to admitted, and admitted to enrolled yield goals.
- Maintain regular contact with assigned students to ensure timely and accurate information exchange.
- Evaluate application files, make preliminary admission decisions, and recommend professional undergraduate applicants.
- Participate in and promote admissions events at the Azusa campus, regional campuses, and online.
- Provide academic counseling to students regarding the admission process and program of interest.
- Connect students with Student Financial Services and provide financial aid information.
- Maintain admissions database through daily input and report management.
- Contribute to university marketing efforts by providing input on current trends and forecasted changes in higher education.
- Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
- One to three years of professional experience in customer service and/or recruiting/sales environment.
- Previous admissions experience is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage details and follow through.
- Collaborative and effective team member and team builder.
- Competency in Excel, using filters, complex sorting, and creating pivot tables.
- Self-management/organizational skills.
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
The Admissions Representative will work in a pleasant office environment with comfortable temperatures. Proficiency in Google Apps, Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel is required. A valid California driver's license is also necessary.
