- Conducts market analysis, generates comprehensive reports, and represents assessments before the relevant authorities.
- Maintains knowledge of current property trends and appraisal techniques.
Advanced Real Estate Assessor
- Oversees detailed appraisals of land and improvements for tax assessments across residential and commercial sectors.
- Inspects commercial, industrial, and multi-family properties to collect pertinent data.
- Analyzes financial documents, leases, and conducts extensive market research.
- Evaluates properties using a variety of assessment techniques and defends valuations as necessary.
- Stays informed about local property trends and appraisal methodologies.
- Prepares detailed reports utilizing GIS technology and adheres to safety regulations.
Vocational/Educational Requirement: A bachelor's degree in real estate or a related discipline is essential.
Experience Requirement: A minimum of two years of full-time experience as an Appraiser I is required.
Special Certifications and Licenses: A valid driver's license is mandatory, along with completion of IAAO courses 101 and 300 within 18 months of employment.
Special Requirements: Flexibility to work additional hours during emergencies may be necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Senior Property Valuator – A minimum of two and a half years of relevant experience is preferred.
- Advanced Real Estate Assessor – A minimum of three and a half years of relevant experience is preferred.
