Clinician Position at LifeWorks of Sonoma County

We are seeking a skilled Clinician to join our team at LifeWorks of Sonoma County, a leading provider of mental health services in the region. As a Clinician, you will play a critical role in delivering compassionate and comprehensive mental health support to individuals, families, and children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual, group, couples, and family therapy sessions to a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, and adults.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans, leveraging trauma-informed clinical modalities and family system approaches to treatment.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers, case managers, and other providers, to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to mental health care.
  • Engage with caregivers and involve family and support systems in the therapeutic process, recognizing the importance of their role in the client's recovery.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services, adhering to agency and contract requirements.
  • Participate in team and agency meetings, contributing valuable insights to enhance our collective efforts.
Requirements:
  • A Master's degree in a field relevant to therapy, such as psychology, social work, or counseling.
  • Registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW), Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and community partners.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision and multiple deadlines.
  • Advanced listening skills and speaking with people of varying backgrounds and experiences.
  • Empathy and the ability to navigate difficult conversations with a positive outcome.
  • Strong critical thinking abilities to assist clients in overcoming challenges they face.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bilingual and bicultural candidates are encouraged to apply, with additional hourly compensation for English/Spanish bilingual employees.
  • Any additional training or certifications related to managing trauma or specific to children, teens, and parenting.
  • At least two years of experience in a mental health setting.
