Diesel Mechanic/Technician I

Are you a skilled diesel mechanic looking for a challenging and rewarding career? As a Technician at Penske, you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of vehicles and equipment, performing preventative maintenance and repairs to keep our fleet in top condition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, and other components
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting complex mechanical issues
- Using advanced diagnostic tools and technologies to identify and repair problems
- Working independently and as part of a team to complete repairs and maintenance tasks
- Providing excellent customer service and communicating effectively with customers and colleagues
Requirements:
- 6 years of practical experience with truck and tractor-trailer maintenance
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
- Specialized training and experience in the diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components (engines, transmissions, differentials)
- ASE Certification and 608/609 certifications preferred
- Valid driver's license required, CDL preferred

Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended length of time throughout their scheduled working period.
- The associate is required to use their hands on a routine and daily basis to grasp, reach, touch, handle, feel, and/or otherwise operate required tools or controls.
- The associate must be able to work safely at heights using applicable ladders and elevated working platforms.
- The associate must be able to safely work in all weather conditions.
- The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg.
