  • Evaluate patient needs and develop personalized treatment plans to improve or restore physical function.
  • Administer various forms of therapy, including strength training, endurance exercises, coordination activities, and range of motion therapies.
  • Utilize manual therapeutic techniques and physical agents to relieve pain and achieve established goals.
  • Provide education to patients and their families on maximizing independent functional activity and promoting overall well-being.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with insurance guidelines and departmental policies.
  • Foster interdepartmental communication and maintain effective relationships with referring physicians and colleagues.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development to enhance treatment techniques and stay updated on industry best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Essential Competencies:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program with a minimum of a B.S. degree.
  • Holds a current Connecticut license in Physical Therapy.
  • Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in using Windows-based programs and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Access to reliable transportation for travel between multiple work sites.
