Sentara Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Unit Coordinator in our Intermediate Care department. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and coordinating the activities of our nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care and coordinate the activities of the nursing staff to ensure the highest level of patient satisfaction and care.
- Assist with the development and implementation of patient care plans, ensuring that they are tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Assist with the management of patient flow and bed assignments to ensure efficient use of resources.
- 18 months of nursing experience is required.
- Previous Charge Nurse experience is strongly preferred.
- Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- RN-Bachelor's Degree is required, RN-Master's Degree is preferred.
