Key Responsibilities:
- Oversees the accountability of Government Hand Receipt accounts utilizing the Auto Scan Tracking System (ASTS) alongside the Army's Global Combat Support System (GCSS-A), ensuring compliance with all Property Book Office (PBO) regulations.
- Effectively manages the loading and unloading of property for shipping and receiving, ensuring safe delivery and setup as a certified vehicle and equipment operator, including conducting Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) on Government Owned Vehicles (GOV), forklifts, and pallet jacks.
- Advises on inventory control measures and accountability processes for hand receipt accounts.
- Conducts location assessments and provides documentation for property and equipment.
- Handles property additions, turn-ins, lateral transfers, and inventory tracking, including shipping, receiving, inspection, storage, issuance, delivery, and setup of organizational and installation property.
- Coordinates and follows up to ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions submitted to the Property Book Officer, addressing any unresolved issues with the Government point of contact.
- Ensures all managed property is well-maintained, physically secured, and protected from loss or damage, assigning Sub/Temporary Hand Receipt responsibilities as necessary, while maintaining property records in accordance with AR 710-2 and other regulatory guidelines.
- Performs comprehensive inventories of hand receipted property, providing documentation to support inventory results, conducting independent analyses, and proposing solutions for identified issues.
- Identifies found on post and excess equipment, determining accountability requirements in line with AR 735-5.
- Participates in Integrated Process/Product Teams (IPTs) and other scheduled meetings.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Familiarity with the following is advantageous:
- Inventory Management
- Processes for receiving, storing, requesting, transferring, issuing, and turning in property
- ASTS and GCSS-A systems
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal abilities.
- Capacity to prioritize and execute tasks effectively in a high-pressure setting.
- Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.
Physical Requirements:
- This role may involve standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching. The employee must be capable of lifting and/or moving items exceeding 50 pounds.
