Job Overview

Solargaines is seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to lead our commercial solar construction projects in the Maryland-DC-VA area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising employees and contractors, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, and maintaining high-quality work standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of electrical construction crews to ensure projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Monitor labor efficiencies, code compliance, work quality, and safety practices to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and quality control reports.
  • Assist in setting project objectives and developing project schedules to meet client expectations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an Electrical Superintendent or in a similar role in electrical construction, design, and cost management for commercial projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and specifications with in-depth knowledge of NEC codes.
  • Demonstrated track record of successful project leadership with experience managing construction crews.
  • Understanding of OSHA Standards and safety requirements.
  • Experience in verifying compliance and functionality of installations.
  • Knowledgeable in identifying and repairing faults in electrical apparatus and circuits.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively order and track materials.
  • Experience in scheduling, material lead times, product knowledge, and installation durations.
  • Solar photovoltaic experience is a plus.
