Job Summary

CrossCountry Mortgage is seeking a highly skilled Loan Processor to join our team. As a Loan Processor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth processing of mortgage loans from application to closing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loan Processing: Review and analyze borrower credit, employment, income, and assets to ensure compliance with loan program requirements.
  • Documentation Management: Assemble and verify all required loan documentation, including credit reports, income verification, and appraisal reports.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with loan officers, borrowers, and underwriters to obtain necessary documentation and resolve any issues that may arise during the loan processing.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all loan processing activities comply with relevant federal, state, and local regulations, including RESPA, TIL, HMDA, and Reg. B.
  • Vendor Management: Communicate with vendors to obtain property surveys, flood certificates, title commitments, and payoff information.
  • Pipeline Management: Manage the loan pipeline by completing and submitting reports within allotted turn-around times.
  • Training and Development: Assist in training and supervising new loan processors and other processing personnel.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years' residential mortgage processing experience.
  • Skills: Excellent math and analytical skills, excellent communication skills, prioritization skills, and experience with Encompass, DU, LP, Microsoft Office, and Windows.
