Responsibilities

Under the guidance of the supervising physician, the selected candidate will provide care in a collaborative, patient-focused environment. This role involves serving a diverse patient population, including those facing challenges in accessing healthcare due to financial, linguistic, or cultural barriers. Flexibility in scheduling and participation in on-call duties with fellow healthcare providers is essential. The incumbent will report directly to the Director of Rural Clinics.

It is important to note that this position requires ongoing certification in American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) following employment. Compliance with internal competency resources is mandatory for maintaining certification.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least one (1) year of experience as a Physician Assistant in outpatient settings or community health centers
  • Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Training Program
  • Successful passage of a national physician assistant examination prior to licensure in California
  • Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in good standing from the California State Physician Assistant Board
  • National Provider Identifier (NPI) number
  • Favorable report from the National Practitioner Data Bank
  • Ability to meet Dignity Health's credentialing and privileging standards upon hire and biannually thereafter
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Valid Physician Assistant license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Spanish is highly desirable
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Compensation
$84.58 per hour
