Job Summary

As a Surgical Technologist at Advocate Health, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to providing exceptional patient care and a safe environment for our surgical teams.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain aseptic surgical fields, ensuring the highest standards of sterility and safety.
Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during procedures, providing support and maintaining a clean and efficient environment.
Maintain and operate various types of equipment used in the operating room, ensuring proper function and safety.
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless transitions between cases and maintain a high level of patient care.

Requirements

Completion of an accredited or approved program in Surgical Technology.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months of hire.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull with 30 pounds of force, and perform other physical demands of the role.
