Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Management Systems (QMS): Design, execute, and uphold the QMS in alignment with AS9100 and other pertinent aerospace regulations. Ensure comprehensive documentation, control, and ongoing enhancement of all quality processes.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Guarantee adherence to all applicable aerospace regulations, including FAA, ISO, and specific customer requirements. Collaborate with regulatory agencies and clients during audits and inspections.
  • Continuous Improvement: Propel continuous improvement initiatives throughout the manufacturing process, employing Lean Six Sigma methodologies to minimize waste, boost efficiency, and elevate product quality.
  • Supplier Quality Management: Supervise supplier quality assurance activities, encompassing audits, qualification, and performance assessment. Partner closely with suppliers to address quality concerns and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Serve as the primary liaison for customer quality issues. Lead inquiries into customer complaints, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective measures to avert recurrence.
  • Quality Metrics: Formulate and present key quality metrics, such as defect rates, rework, scrap, and on-time delivery. Utilize data-driven insights to inform decision-making and enhancement efforts.
  • Risk Management: Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks associated with product quality. Establish robust risk management protocols to prevent quality-related issues.
  • Training & Development: Offer training and development opportunities for quality team members and other personnel on quality standards, practices, and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related discipline. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in quality management within the aerospace sector, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Certifications: ASQ Certified Quality Manager (CQM), ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or Six Sigma Black Belt is preferred.
  • Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of AS9100, FAA regulations, and other relevant aerospace standards. Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Capacity to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Technology: Proficient in quality management software, statistical analysis tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
